There will be two extra rehearsals on Friday May 1st and Monday May 4th from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. These rehearsals are so the students can be prepared for their Concert on May 5th. Some new feartures are being added!

Here is the link for the last practice chart for this school year. We do have plenty in our band room but just in case you don't receive one here it is.
This practice chart will be due on May 4th, 5th and 6th. After the 6th, we will not take them for a grade. So, please get them in on time!

The PM Jazz Band performed at the Big Shanty Festival on April 18th, 2009. They did an amazing job performing for our community. I would like to extend my appreciation to all the parents who made it possible for the students to attend the festival. With out your support we could not have made this performance possible. Also, I would like to "Thank" my students for all there hard work and dedication to the Jazz Band. It has been a pleasure working with all of you!
Don't forget our last PM Jazz Band concert is May 5th at 7:00 p.m.!

On Saturday, April 18th please don't forget your instrument and music. Also, please where jeans and I will bring the PM Jazz shirts for you to wear. Please arrive at the "City Hall' stage with all of your belongings by 1:00 p.m.

On Saturday, April 18th at 1:30 p.m. the 8th grade Jazz Band will be performing on the "City Hall Stage." We would like to invite all of you to come an listen to our wonderful Jazz band. The time has arrived for Spring Concerts!
April 30th at 7:00 p.m. the 6-1 and 7-1 bands will perform.
May 5th at 7:00 p.m. the 6-2 and Jazz bands will perform.
May 14th at 7:00 p.m. the 7-2 and 8th bands will perform.
Each of the concerts will be held in the theater. Please arrive early to find a parking spot and a great seat to watch your child perform. I look forward to seeing all of you one last time this school year. Have a wonderful week!

How exciting is it that we leave this week for Washington D.C. I can't wait to see you perform on Saturday on Lincoln's memorial. Let hope it doesn't rain! Please make sure review all materials sent home while packing for the trip :)
Some quick reminders for the trip that I just thought of :
Make sure to double and triple check all items being brought on the trip. We don't want you to be without any important items. If there are any questions, please email or call and we will be glad to answer them.

This is a friendly reminder that Practice Charts are due. They were technically due on Monday, March 2nd but students still have Tuesday, March 3rd and Wednesday, March 4th to hand in the practice charts. Parents, please sign all four boxes and students make sure you have totaled all your minutes.

Students and Parents in 7th and 8th grade,
The Pre-LGPEconcert for all 7th and 8th grade groups is on Thursday,February 26th. The concert will start at 7:00 p.m.
The first band to perform will be the 7-1 band and they will need to report to the band room no later than 6:30 p.m.
The second group to perform will be the 7-2 band and they will need to report to the band room no later than 6:45 p.m.
The third group to perform will be the 8th grade band and they will need to report to the band room no later than 7:30 p.m. Following the 8th grade concert will be a mandatory "Washinghton DC" meeting for 8th grade parents and students attending the trip to "Washington DC."
All students should be in their appropriate concert dress. For 7th grade, the students should be wearing their "White Tuexdo Shirts" with "Black pants, black shoes and black socks. For 8th grade, the gentlemen should wear their Tuxedo's with black shoes and socks. The ladies should wear their formal black dresses along with black shoes and black stockings. If there are any questions regarding the concert or other concerns, please feel free to ask :)
