Monday and Tuesday: We are finishing the Georgia Fact Quilt Project. It is due at the end of the period on Tuesday.
Wednesday: Catch up day.

Monday: We took the CRCT for social studies today. We relaxed and watched a video on the ecomony in class.
Tuesday: Today we began an inclass project "Georgia Fact Quilt". We will be working on this every day until it is due on Wednesday, May 6th.

For the next 2 weeks we will be doing a CRCT review for social studies. There will be no homework:)

Monday: Today in class we took the Chapter 10 Test. We worked on the Study Guide for the Benchmark Test tomorrow.
Tuesday: Students will take the 9 week Benchmark Test today. We read and discussed Chapter 11 Sections 1-2. Students need to complete the Guided Reading for Chapter 11 Sections 1-2.
Wednesday: We read and discussed Chapter 11 Section 3 and did the Guided Reading.
Thursday: Today we read and discussed Chapter 11 Section 4 and did the Guided Reading .
Friday: We watched an interesting and informative video on WWII.

Monday: We read and discussed Chapter 10 Sections 3-5. Students need to complete the Guided Reading for these sections.
Tuesday: We read the WWI packet. Students need to answer the questions on "Understanding the Main Ideas WWI".
Wednesday: We read and highlighted the Essential Questions packet. Students need to complete "Progressive Movement Fact Scramble" and "Fight for Equality" to prepare for the quiz tomorrow.
Thursday: Quiz on Chapter 10. Students need to complete the Chapter 10 Test Study Guide.
Friday: Correct the Chapter 10 Test Study Guide. The test is Monday.

Monday: We read and discussed Chapter 9 Sections 3-4. Students will complete the Guided Reading Sections 3-4.
Tuesday: Students will complete the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendment activity and the Chapter 9 review for a quiz grade. They are due at the beginning of the period Wednesday.
Wednesday: Students need to complete the Matching Up and New South worksheet for homework. Chapter 9 Test tomorrow. Students need to study the following terms for tomorrow's test: Reconstruction, freedmen, Freedmen's Bureau, Black Code, carpetbagger, scalawag, KKK, suffrage, Georgia Act, Redemption, white supremacy, Burbon Triumvirate, segregate, Farmer's Alliance, 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment, John Wilkes Booth, Andrew Johnson, William Felton, Rebecca Latimer Felton, Rufus Bullock, Joel Chandler Harris, and Sidney Lanier.
Thursday: Chapter 9 Test and Chapter 10 vocabulary for homework.
Friday: Read and discuss Chapter 10 Sections 1-2. Students need to complete the Guided Reading for Sections 1-2.

Tuesday: We went over the Study Guide for the test tomorrow. Students wrote their test essay questions today in class.
Wednesday: Chapter 8 Test today. Students worked on their Chapter 9 vocabulary today. It is due at the beginning of the period tomorrow.
Thursday: We read and discussed Chapter 9 Sections 1-2. Students need to complete Guided Reading Chapter 9 Sections 1-2.
Friday: Students did a Directed Reading: "Civil Rights in the New South Era" today. There is no homework.

Tuesday: Today in class students read a Civil War packet. They need to complete the Study Guide that corresponds to the packet tonight.
Wednesday: Today in class we read and discussed the KIDS Discover Civil War Story. There is no homework.
Thursday: Students will complete 'Chapter 8 Review-Reviewing People, Places, and Terms".

Monday: Today in class we took the Chapter 7 Test. Students worked on Chapter 8 vocabulary, which is due at the beginning of the period tomorrow.
Tuesday: Today we read pages 252-260 in the textbook. We read and discussed the chart "Resources of the North and South". Students need to complete the chart for Wednesday.
Wednesday: Today we read and discussed pages 260-265 and discussed the "Strategies " chart. Students need to complete the chart and do Guided Reading Chapter 8 Section 1 for homework.
Thursday: We read and discussed Chapter 8 Section 2. Students need to complete the Guided Reading Chapter 8 Section 2 for tomorrow.
Friday: We viewed and discussed a powerpoint on the statistics of the major battles of the Civil War and watched a video. There is no homework.

Progress Reports went home Tuesday. Please sign and return them tomorrow.
Tuesday: Today we went over the Essential Question Packet and highlighted the main ideas in the Antebellum Period as a review for the quiz tomorrow. Students are to complete the "Cause and Effect" worksheet (both sides). It is due at the beginning of the period tomorrow.
Wednesday: Students took a quiz over the material in Chapter 7. Students are to complete the
Chapter 7 Review. It is due tomorrow and will be graded for accuracy.
Thursday: Students worked on the Chapter 7 Test Study Guide and essay questions in class. Students will check their answers tomorrow and write their test essay question in class.
Friday: Students checked the answers for the Chapter 7 Test Study Guide and wrote the test essay question answer. The Chapter 7 Test will be on Monday.
