Toy Invention Project
Due May 1st: Toy Summary (25 points) Educational toys earn 5 bonus points. This is a summary of the project. It should be a minimum of 2 paragraphs, highlighting the research conducted and the unique features of their product. The 4 areas of science, age group, toy description, and components of the advertising campaign should be addressed.
Due May 1st: Science Area Analysis (25 points). Students have been given a worksheet to detail the 4 areas of science their project addresses. Specific examples should be used for each area. I will be looking for the use of scientific language, a description of each science area, and details of how those science areas are integrated into the toy.
Due May 6th: Safety Analysis (25 points). Students will be given a sample safety worksheet to guide their work. They will list the safety concerns for their project and the resolutions. This should be very detailed and include sample safety labels for the product.
Due May 14th & 15th: Advertising Campaign/Presentation of Product (25 points). Students dressed up will earn 5 bonus points. This should be a professional presentation. The information should be clearly presented and articulated well. Students should have a visual display of what their product would look like. Elements of their advertising campaign should be infused in their presentation.
