Sixth grade Olympics: Monday

Students received a note this week about the last day of school party. 

Homework: Final exam Thursday: key terms 1-50

Announcements for the week of May 11th:

Sixth grade field day is Monday, May 18th.  Students should wear dress code appropriate shorts and t-shirts along with athletic shoes (not sandals or flipflops).  Be sure to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat.  Students may bring a sack lunch or purchase a school sack lunch.

Sixth Grade Honors Day is Thursday, May 21st at 12:30.  Students receiving an award will bring home an invitation for their parents by this Thursday.

Information about the sixth grade end of the year party will be sent home this week.

Yearbooks will be distributed in homeroom on Thursday, May 14th.

Homework Assignments for the week:

Monday: Test Thursday on the solar system

Tuesday: complete study guide

Wednesday: study notes and study guide for test tomorrow

Thursday: be sure to bring your textbook to class Friday to be collected

Friday: come prepared for field day on Monday

Announcements for the week of April 27th:

Progress reports were sent home last week.  Parents should sign both reports and return them to your child's homeroom teacher.

Field trip to the Tellus Museum: 6-3 April 30th; 6-1 May 1st.  A note will be sent home on Tuesday with final information.

Monday: return progress reports

Tuesday: complete Moon Talk worksheet

Wednesday/Thursday: Field trip Thurs or Fri; bring lunch if not purchasing a school lunch; money for gift shop (optional)  BE SURE TO BE ON TIME- We will be leaving right after announcements.

CRCT April 21st - 27th; students should be on time, get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and bring two #2 sharpened pencils.

Progress Reports will be sent home this Thursday and Friday.

Tellus Museum field trip: 6-3 (Thursday, April 30th) 6-1 (Friday, May 1st).  Students should be sure to bring permisison forms and donations asap.

Announcements for the week of March 16th:

Report cards go home Thursday.  Parents please sign the signature sheet and return to your child's homeroom teacher by Monday, March 23rd.  You may keep the report card. 

Registration forms for the 2009-2010 school year will also be sent home on Thursday.  Parents please read the information sheet attached to the form for instructions on completing the form.  Forms should be returned by Monday, March 23rd to ensure that students will be enrolled next year.

Sixth grade students will participate in a practice Writing Assessment on Wednesday, March 18th during first period class.  This will help prepare students for the Eighth Grade Writing Assessment.

Homework Assignments for the week:

Monday: no homework

Tuesday: complete Science Court 2-sided worksheet from class: due THURSDAY

Wednesday: Science Court sheet due Thursday

Thursday: CRCT Preparation pages 84-85 in textbook- write the correct letter AND ANSWER; Return report card signature form and registration form by Monday.

Friday: no homework except return report card and signature form by Monday if not returned Friday
