Alright everyone, the finish line is in sight! Make sure you are still running when you cross it... no walking allowed. I know we're all tired and ready to quit, but this is the time to push harder! Give everything you've got. You all have worked so hard this year and you should be proud of your effort as you go off into summer and high school. Imagine yourself looking back on your 8th grade year with no regrets, knowing you worked as hard as you could have!
All Social Studies students will be in the Media Center through Friday working on the Georgia Road Trip Project, which is due at the end of class on the 15th.
Language Arts students will continue reading "Anne Frank." The Roots Project is due on Wednesday, the 13th.
Open the appropriate document, save it to your student number, and type directly into it as you plan your itinerary. Save frequently! Get permission from your teacher before you print anything.

On Monday we will wrap up the CRCT with the Social Studies portion.
This week in Georgia Studies, students will work on a Fact Quilt project. Text books are required!
Language Arts students will continue working on their poetry books (due Friday). Also, we will begin reading The Diary of Anne Frank in conjunction with the Roots project.
The CRCTs are this week! Please get enough rest each night and eat a good breakfast. Also, bring a couple of #2 pencils and a book to read if you finish early. The Language Arts test is on Wednesday and Social Studies is next Monday, the 27th.
Progress Reports go home on Thursday and Friday. Please note that the format will be different this time due to our testing schedule and our effort to conserve paper.
This week in Social Studies we will continue reviewing for the CRCT.
In Language Arts we will review and practice writing a types of poetry.

This week all Georgia Studies students will review the content we have learned since August in preparation for the CRCT. The social studies portion of the test will be on Monday, April 27th.
In addition to reviewing for the CRCT, AC students will finish taking the chapter 11 quiz and continue working on their Georgia Fact Quilts.

AC Students will have a modified version of the above schedule due to the honor roll celebration on Tuesday.
This week in Georgia Studies, we will finish chapter 10, The Progressive Era. We will learn about the Great Depression and WWI before having a quiz on Thursday. Students will complete the study guide for the test on Friday. The test will be next Tuesday, the 31st.
AC students will take their chapter 10 test on Monday, 3/30, due to the honor roll celebration scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. They will also complete Current Event #8. The assignment should be downloaded at home. Use the embedded link to Georgia newspapers to find an interesting article before answering the questions. This will be due on Friday.
