All about walls!
In reading: we are reading a story about a painter that paints a wall of respect, similar to the original "Wall of Respect" painted in Chicago in 1967. Walls of respect began as an African American artistic movement in the 60's as a way of self-expression and community bonding. We will create our own "Wall of Respect"

April 13-17

This week in Reading we will review for the CRCT. Warm Up words for this week:
aptitude, inept, adjunct, conjugate. As always, there will be a matching quiz on Friday for these four words. I cannot stress enough the importance of these quizzes!! If you fail the quizzes, you will not pass the class. This is an EASY way for you to improve your grade! You must write down the words and definitions in class, then write a sentence using the word correctly. Then, on Thursday night, you MUST STUDY!!!!! Students that do this pass!!!

In Social Studies: We are studying about Modern China and will review for the CRCT.

CRCT begins next week!! Study vocabulary words, review the S.S. curriculum, and practice reading under time restraints.
