This week in class:

6th Grade classes will be working on group presentations on disease and creating posters to go along with their presentations..

Welcome to the fourth grading period!  All students need to bring a folder with pockets and brads and lined paper to leave in the room.  Make sure you bring a pencil every day.  Please get your supplies and return your signed syllabus and Human Growth & Development permission slips ASAP!  We will be having a folder check soon!

8th Grade classes will be studying first aid, designing posters, and giving presentations on their topics. Mr. Pete Collman from the Shepherd Center will be speaking about safety and people with disabilities with the 8th graders on Friday.

This week in class:

6th Grade classes will be studying about prescription drugs and nutrition.   Students will participate in a "Future Pharmacists" activity by creating prescription labels and filling them (with Skittles!) using pharmacists' equipment.  Human Growth & Development will begin next week.

7th Grade classes will be completing CPR certification by taking a written test and demonstrating skills on the manikins.(Remember to bring 3 produce bags to use with the manikins). You've learned the symptoms and treatment for heart attacks; now try performing open heart surgery at this site:  Heart transplant surgery
