Below is the letter about the weekend rehearsal. Please realize that the Thursday October 8 Rehearsal has been canceled due to the 30 year celebration at the school!
Dear Parents,
Your students are doing a fabulous job working on the production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr.” We have been so impressed with their dedication and hard work. As discussed at the initial parent meeting, I was working on a date for a weekend rehearsal. That rehearsal date is going to be October 24, 2009 from 10am to 5pm. We will meet in the front of the school and rehearse throughout the day. I would love to make this rehearsal a chance for parents to come and see what is going on in rehearsals.
On this date I would like the following things to be achieved:
- Music rehearsals in the morning for all students. These will be the ensemble songs.
- A run through of each of the scenes and hopefully a full runthrough of the show.
- Running through scenes with appropriate costumes
- Working with props
- A pot-luck style lunch provided by parents.
We are still in desperate need of the items listed on our props list. Please send items in as you can. Also, if you have misplaced the list, I have put a copy of it on the back of this form. I would also like to know if any parents would be willing to donate the following items:
· 3 pieces of foam insulation board (the large size)
· Black, white and Yellow paint
· Paintbrushes
I really appreciate all of the cooperation! This is going to be a magnificent show for your and you student to enjoy for years to come!
