Social Studies students have a BUSY week! We are having a vocabulary quiz on Wednesday over terms from sections 1-3 in chapter 17. Friday we will have a quiz over the physical features of Africa we have studied. If you've lost the list, I've included a copy below.

I have high praise for the two-minute speeches the students gave last week! Clearly, their research skills were equal to the task as well! Posters from our research will be on display in the cabnet in the front hall during December. I was truly impressed by everyones effort!
Reading students have just finished their African Folk Tales. This was a week when we tried to connect what we were learning about Africa in Social Studies to our reading goals.
Students should be reading at home each night! I've told them 20-30 minutes 5 times a week would be acceptable. We went to the library Friday so everyone could have a book for the weekend.
