1st period reading will be doing a novel unit on books of their own choosing. These books should be 150 pages in length or longer, and should NOT have been made into a movie. Students should be keeping a log while they read, and we will be discussing options for final projects. We will also be working on a vocabulary unit from book C.
3rd and 7th period reading just started a book by Will Hobbs entitled Bearstone. We will be reading 1-2 chapters a day and completing written responses based on the reading. We will also have a final project based on this book. Students will receive a list of potential projects next week.
Social Studies students will continue to study South-East Asia, and will focus on China this week. We will be working in the textbook this week.
