I hope that you had a restful Thanksgiving vacation. Today, we discussed everyone's vacation. Some of the kids complained about being bored during the holidays, which is so funny to me! The week before we left for break they were all talking about how they were tired and ready to stay home. Boy, oh boy, we just can't please our little teenagers!
Study Skills Class- This week will will work on understanding and using subheadings in reading and writing.
Reading Class- As you know, our reading class is full of "budding poets". We work on a different type of poetry every other month. The December/January poetry type is acrostic poems. We will be writing acrostic poems about our grandmothers this week, as well as reading our book, Bats. Here's the link to help with acrostic poem writing http://www.readwritethink.org/materials/acrostic/
